Grammatical Rule:

The "woulda coulda shoulda" of the French vocabulary. They are irregular, but very similar in their conjugations.

Faire is a splendid and complicated verb that seems to be used for just about anything in French. It can mean "to do," "to make," and many other idiomatic meanings.

Vouloir "woulda"

Je Veux Nous voulons
Tu veux vous voulez
il veut ils veulent

past participle: Voulu

Pouvoir "coulda"

Je peux Nous pouvons
Tu peux Vous pouvez
Il peut Ils peuvent

past participle: Pu

Devoir "shoulda"

Je Dois Nous devons
Tu dois vous deves
il doit ils doivent

Past Participle: Dû (the hat is necessary, or else it just looks like a partitive)
