| Direct Objects |
Grammatical Rule: As in English, direct objects are nouns that are acted upon by the verb. ex. I eat the Pop Tart ® I (subject) eat (verb) the Pop Tart®(direct object). (Je mange le Pop Tart®) To replace the direct object "Pop Tart®" with a pronoun one must choose the correct direct object pronoun (le) and place it before the verb. "Je le mange" As always you must choose the right pronoun in number and gender. (ex. I look at you = Je te regarde. You look at me = Vous me regardez)
